Op. Peace, Love, and Harmony- March 3rd-1st day

Today is the first day of intersession. My interssetion is called Oparation Peace, Love, and Harmony. The purpose for this intersettion is to try and help other less fortunate people and make a diffrence in the world. we have groups of three and every group focuses on a diffrent cause. the causes are: lgbt rights
aids and diaseses
child and domestic abuse
homelessnes
immagration and more

Today is March 3rd. In the morning we had a woman named Kaitlin come in and talk to us about non- profit organizations. She also told us about her job and how she helps the community. I actually learned a lot of things I didn’t know like that people that work in non- profit organizations do get a salary and I also learned a lot of other stuff.

After lunch we had another speaker come in from the zoo. His name was Dan and he talked to us about the plant life in the zoo and how much animals eat and how the fires have affected the plant life. It really changed my view on the zoo because when I thought of the zoo I think of the animals but now I also think about the plants and the entire environment around the zoo.
